Community Outreach

The Paws Crossed Community Outreach team offers visits and appearances to personal care homes, retirement communities and anywhere else that requests. The animals of the Community Outreach Team are selected for temperament and most are working toward training for Service Animal or Facility Animal placements.  We do also bring non-service training animals upon request when appropriate. To book the Community Outreach team email pawscrossedpr@gmail.com

Paws Crossed Service Cats is a pilot project to train service animals in the shelter for placement with those in need. Training is undertaken in-house with assessment and certification provided through MSAR Service Dogs when the Animal and partner are ready. Service animals must provide at least 2 trained tasks to assist their partner in managing their disability. For more information email pawscrossedserviceanimals@gmail.com
